Google Suffering from Big Company Disease

No, Google isn’t suffering from corporate hardening of the arteries the way many old mammoth firms do, but I noticed something the other day that made me do a double take. Is this fast, nimble, user experience-oriented Google doing this? Because it looks like one of those conglomerate moves that usually ends up backfiring. IT sure seems like google is doing so but I’m not so sure till now. If you can share some more information it will be great.
