Do You Know How to Optimize Landing Pages?
By Mike Moran. Filed in Internet Marketing |
When you speak at conferences frequently, you meet a lot of interesting people. When I was at Search Engine Strategies in New York in March, Tim Ash came up to me after my speech and gave me his great book, Landing Page Optimization. It took me a while to crack it open, but I want to make sure you don’t make the same mistake. Tim’s book is a must-read for any Internet marketer, because your landing page is the welcome mat for your whole site. If your landing pages don’t work for your visitors, then you need to read Tim’s book. And if you think that they are working, you might want to check Tim’s book anyway, because they could probably work better than they do now. Read my book review of Landing Page Optimization at Search Engine Guide.

Hmm.. I guess landing page gives the first impression and if they can’t find what they want easily although it’s there they’ll leave. So it’s actually adding convinence to your audience.

Zohai,
I agree with you, landing page is the most crucial because it is the page whether visitors will stay or leave from the site.

Landing pages are crucial for the reasons everyone is stating, but what you’ll find after you optimize your landing pages is that you’ll then want to optimize the second and third pages of your experience, also, Because EVERY page of your experience is a chance for customers to go forward or to bail out. Until they complete your conversion, you haven’t gotten anything tangible.

Landing page are the most important part on our websites. I do agree with Zohai, Landing Page is where the first impression come in. It must not to crowded so our readers could find anything in it easily.

I spend lots of money to hire a designer to make a good landing page on my sites. First impression is important and that is the way to get readers attention to my site.
