Blogger outreach is more PR than social media
The current catch-all these days for what I do is social media; unfortunately, when what you do is described as social media, people tend to think Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and maybe Google+. My expertise, however, is online community outreach and engagement. Back in 2006 I developed a strategy of blogger outreach that allowed my to reach out to more than just 25 top-tier bloggers by hand over time but to 2,500-5,000 bloggers. Blogging 101

I’ve heard people say that blogging is so over now that Twitter is all the rage, but I don’t buy it. (If you’re reading this blog, you probably don’t either.) I still get folks every day that ask me about what they can do to get started with a blog and I do my bext to help them out, but today I did a Webinar for the Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG) called “Blogging 101” (my slides are linked to the title) that provides a set of steps for how to get started and how to improve your blog once you are up and running.
