Most couples have at least some trouble discussing their careers with each other, if only because they do very different things. My wife is a full-time homemaker for my four kids, and I am blessed that she actually understands my line of work extremely well (she even edits my books), but I know that kind of relationship is not the norm. At first I want to disagree your point, when I dig more into the article I really loved the way you presented them. Really spouse teaches us(me) many things that we will never agree at times. I got 3 kids and after 3rd girl my wife give up her job and looking after them. We always consider things when someone explain us the fact.
